How to Block YouTube Channels

YouTube Kids App

Recommended for Under 13

Steps to block a channel:

  1. Open the YouTube Kids app
  2. Find any video from the channel you want to block
  3. Tap the 3-dot menu (⋮) on the video
  4. Select "Block this channel"
  5. Confirm the action

Family Link Supervised YouTube

For Teens

Steps to block a channel:

  1. Go to the channel page on YouTube
  2. Click the "About" tab
  3. Click the flag icon → "Report user"
  4. Select "Block channel for children"
  5. Choose which child account to block for

Restricted Mode (Limited)

Important: Restricted Mode on regular YouTube only filters content by maturity signals—you cannot block specific channels. For better control, use YouTube Kids or Family Link supervised accounts.
